Academics
At Prayas, education is based on the knowledge that students learn differently. An average class of six and student faculty ratio of 3:1 makes it possible to prepare each student for college & beyond.
We at Prayas give our children different platforms to unwind their talent and energy. The curriculum has been divided into different groups based on their pace of learning. The groups have been named as Creative, Dynamic, Ambitious, etc.
The Academic Curriculum has been amalgamated with various activities including Music and Dance. Theatre is an integral part of our academics where children live the characters of the lessons in their performances.
Extra Curricular activities are conducted under four houses named on THE VEDAS. Students and educators are divided into The Rig Veda, The Sama Veda, The Yajur Veda and The Atharva Veda. Activities like Matru Ashish Diwas, General Quiz, Creative Writing, Hasya Natika (Drama) and many more are enjoyed on regular basis.

Functional Academics:
Imparting basic life necessities through academics for independent living is the primary objective of functional academics. From calculating time to counting money, from filling up forms to reading abbreviations and symbols, all are taught through age appropriate activities and workshops. These cognitive and thinking skills prepare students for productive adult life.

Life Skills:
Life skills are as essential as academics for a child to become self-supporting and unconstrained. We provide skills such as cooking food, washing dishes, sign identification, situational awareness, controlling emotions that are necessary to live a normal life. Acquiring positive social skills, relating to family, friends and peers and many such skills are imparted to students at our centre.

Field Trips:
Our centre offers a number of experiential learning opportunities from commonly service projects to the student field trip programs giving the ‘Life’ experiences. Trips to Hare Krishna Diamond Works, Radio, Television stations, exhibitions, various factories and technical institutions have been integral and regular part of our academic.
